Photo Critique

I came across this photo and I liked it for a couple reasons. First of all, I enjoyed the photographers' decision to put the photo in black and white. With the subject sitting alone in the middle of a deserted hall, I felt loneliness when I looked at it. I doubt that feeling would have been as strong if the photo was published in color. And secondly, as I mentioned before, I felt strong emotion when I looked at this photo. It seems as if the subject is waiting for someone to pick her up, or was forgotten. This story does not necessarily tell a story, and the surroundings are not very clear, but even still, I think that it has impact.
